While our government has doubts about its position in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Rawan Sammour (38) from Aalst has been living in fear for months. Her three children (7, 13 and 15) and her partner (38) are currently surviving in a tent in the bombed Gaza, despite a Belgian visa. Out of pure despair, she held a hunger strike for weeks. “It’s like we’re not people,” she says to HLN. “Give my family a chance of life.”
