Flemish government releases 130,000 euros for fighting Asian hornet: “We will shift up a gear”

The Flemish government is making 130,000 euros available this year to combat the Asian hornet. This is reported by the Flemish Ministers of Agriculture and Environment, Jo Brouns and Zuhal Demir. The wasp species is a threat to the honey bee that has been flying around in our regions for years. By attacking the honey bee, the exotic also means bad news for agriculture and horticulture: bees play an important role as pollinators.
