The Black Sea Fleet completed exercises to defend the coast of the Caucasus and Crimea, in which the crews of the Bal and Bastion missile systems took part, RBC was told in the information support department of the Black Sea Fleet.
“The crews of the Bal and Bastion coastal missile systems of the Black Sea Fleet conducted an exercise to defend the territory of the Crimean Peninsula and the Caucasian coast in the event of a threat of missile strikes by ship groups of a mock enemy from the Black Sea,” the Navy said.
During the maneuvers, the servicemen practiced missile strikes against naval targets. To do this, they deployed launchers, found and identified surface targets and engaged in their escort.

“The actions of the enemy imitated the ships of the Black Sea Fleet. The defeat of sea targets was carried out by conditional (electronic) missile launches, ”the department explained.
