“Flamingos is, well … actually my life. I have been walking around all my life here and I also built my entire network around this club. When the last whistle sounded just sounded, it was really swallowing. Now that the flamingos disappears, a foundation of my life is falling away.”
When he switches to Alkmaarsche Boys, he does it with pain in his heart. That’s why he still doubts. “I know it will feel very crazy to wear the flamingos after forty years, to be a member of another club and to wear another logo on my chest.”
