A fire broke out in the chimney of a detached house on the Nijlandseweg in Lieveren just after 9 a.m. Several fire brigades from the region are present to extinguish the fire.
The largest flames were extinguished with the first extinguishing attempt. An aerial platform was then set up to further extinguish the fire. The residents are out of the house and no one is known to have been injured.
