Supertalent Lamine Yamal has extended his contract at FC Barcelona in the long term until 2031. The Catalans announced this on Tuesday.
The 17-year-old offensive player is said to earn 17 times his previous salary with his new contract.

According to the club announcement, Yamal signed his new XXL contract on Tuesday in the presence of Barca boss Joan Laporta, his Vice Rafa Yusta as well as sports director Deco and other officials.
His commitment is “further proof of the solidity of the current Barca project,” wrote the financially still struck club in the statement.
Yamal’s previous contractual situation had repeatedly taken care of transfer rumors. In April, for example, Manchester City was ready to hand over a world record offer of 275 million euros.
