Five wolf cubs have been seen on the border of Drenthe and Friesland. This is evident from observations collected in the area. It is the second time that wolf cubs are born in Drenthe.
The cubs probably belong to the pack that has settled in this area. It would be the second litter of this pack, because at least three cubs were born in 2022. It is not clear how big the pack is in total at the moment.
The five cubs are the first wolf cubs sighted in the Netherlands this year.
