The number of section checks in Flanders has increased fivefold in two years: from 246 in 2023 to 1,233 installations this year. This is evident from figures from Minister of the Interior Bernard Quintin (MR). For comparison: 97 section checks were counted in Wallonia, twelve in Brussels. ‘Het Nieuwsblad’ reported this today and is also in ‘Gazet van Antwerpen’.
