Five outbreaks of gastroenteritis affect 54 people in three camps in Gósol (Lleida)

The Public Health Agency of the Generalitat has detected five outbreaks of gastroenteritis in three camping areas in Gósol (Lleida) with 56 people affected, sources from the Ministry of Health have informed Europa Press.

The total of exposed people amounts to 151who have already returned to their homes and the Generalitat has closed these three camping points as a precaution.

Thus, they have collected water samples from the three camping points that they are investigating as a result of these outbreaks that have affected minors between 6 and 16 years of age, as well as some monitors of the groups.

The coordination and investigation of the outbreaks has had the support of the Gósol City Council, the county council, primary care, the Medical Emergency System (SEM) and the Berga Hospital (Barcelona).
