Five guards injured after group prisoners become very aggressive in Wortel prison: “Should there really be a dead person first?”

Five guards were injured on Monday evening after a serious incident in the criminal institution of the Kempen Wortel (Hoogstraten). One cell was also destroyed. It is the umpteenth incident in a month in prison and earlier this year there were already revolts. “One detained kicked in the ribs of a jailer, while someone else threw a heavy table on a staff member,” says the prison guards.
