A half time outnumbered

Philipp Klement in the 54th minute, Aaron Opoku (57th) and Daniel Hanslik (88th) scored the goals for the guests from the Palatinate, who played in the majority after Bielefeld’s Bryan Lasme was sent off in the second half.

“Doubly Hurts”

Robin Hack had meanwhile equalized for hard-fought Bielefeld with a brace (60th/74th/penalty kick).

“If you play a game with one man less and then don’t take any points, it hurts twice as much.”said the Bielefeld double goal scorer Hack after the game: “We played good football, we can build on that.

Kaiserslautern moved up to seventh place in the table with 23 points. Bielefeld, on the other hand, remains last with eleven points. Arminia has lost five of the last six league games.

Hanslik with the winning goal

In front of 24,651 spectators on the Bielefelder Alm, both teams played a fast-paced game. However, the hosts suffered a setback in the 44th minute: Lasme saw a yellow-red card after an unlucky game against Boris Tomiak.

Despite being outnumbered, Bielefeld played bravely. Kaiserslautern used two mistakes by the hosts for two goals. After Hack equalized, the game was completely open. Shortly before the end of the game, substitute Hanslik let the guests cheer.
