Shortly after the start of the club World Cup, BVB apparently loses an important employee: Fitness coach Shad Forsythe is said to have already left the club.
Borussia Dortmund apparently has to look for a new fitness boss. As the “Bild” newspaper reports, the previous “Head of Performance” Shad Forsythe will be looking for a new task in the future. In Fort Lauderdale, where the team was last, the 52-year-old is said to have already said goodbye to the players.
The American has worked at BVB since 2022, worked before 2004 to 2019 at the DFB and was part of the team that won the World Cup in 2014. A few weeks ago, according to the “Bild”, the BVB bosses are said to have informed that he does not want to extend his contract that expires on June 30th. Until then, he did not stay with the team, but did not travel back to Miami after the 0-0 draw in the club World Cup in New Jersey against the Brazilian club Fluminense.
Forsythe was both the innovation driver at both DFB and BVB and introduced some innovations at both stations. He is said to have had a significant part in the 2014 World Championship title.
