First woman on Amsterdamse Beurs, Ine Pennings (81), looks back after half a century: “They sang: Oh, how beautiful she is!”

Until fifty years ago it was forbidden territory for women, but Ine Pennings entered the exhibition floor in 1975, the year of the woman, as the first lady. Now, fifty years later, on International Women’s Day, the Eindhoven looks back on that time during a visit to the Amsterdam stock exchange. “I am only now realizing how groundbreaking I was.”
