Dylan Groenewegen has had his first success with his new team, Team BikeExchange. The 28-year-old sprinter from Amsterdam won the third stage in the Tour of Saudi Arabia today.
Groenewegen was the fastest in the bunch sprint. He trumped Caleb Ewan, among others. The North Hollander was excellently positioned by his teammates in the end of the flat stage. He eagerly took advantage of that and was the first to cross the finish line.
Groenewegen recently left the Jumbo-Visma team due to a lack of sporting prospects as a sprinter. Last Tuesday he drove his first race in Team BikeExchange shirt.
