Paris (AP) – Daniel Altmaier was the first German tennis professional to retire from the men’s competition at the French Open.
The German number two lost in Paris against the Spaniard Jaume Munar 1: 6, 3: 6, 6: 4, 3: 6. After 2:55 hours, Altmaier, who had surprisingly reached the round of 16 at the Stade Roland Garros in 2020, had to admit defeat.
