First press statement on Lindemann and Rammstein: “Allegations are untrue without exception”

Rammstein have released a press release through their attorneys. The band will take legal action

Till Lindemann has not yet commented on the allegations of abuse made against him – but on Thursday (08 June) his lawyers, the law firm Schertz and Bergmann, did so for him. In a press release they write: The “allegations are without exception untrue”. At the same time, the lawyers announced that they would take legal action against anyone who had made the allegations. You write:

“Serious allegations against our client were made by various women on social networks, especially on Instagram, Twitter and YouTube. It was repeatedly claimed that women had been drugged with knockout drops or alcohol at “Rammstein” concerts in order to enable our client to perform sexual acts on them. Without exception, these allegations are untrue.”

The lawyers continue to write: “We will take immediate legal action against the individual for all allegations of this nature.”

They also want to take action against the media: “In a large number of cases, there has been inadmissible reporting of suspicions. Not only did they fail to research and collect sufficient evidence, but they also violated the requirement to report in a balanced and objective manner.
In almost all cases, there was a sustained prejudice against our client, which is inadmissible in the context of a suspicion report. Finally, we repeatedly failed to obtain a statement from our client. Insofar as the principles of suspicious activity reporting have been violated, we will also take immediate legal action against this on behalf of our client.”

The press release was preceded by reports from Rammstein fans accusing Till Lindemann of abusive behavior at Rammstein concerts. The band is currently touring Europe.
