A special corner has been set up for the beloved presenter on the ground floor of the museum. People come from all over the country today to express their condolences.

“Suddenly she is no longer there,” says a woman, who has worked together with Dieuwertje in the past. “It is terrible if someone with such a track record is no longer there, who has meant so much for Dutch television.”

In the condolence register, people write down what Dieuwertje has meant for them and what they will miss about her. “The Sinterklaasjournaal will never be the same again without her. I want to thank her for that, both for my children and to me,” says a woman whose children grew up with Dieuwertje.

The presenter was the face of the Sinterklaas journal for more than twenty years. A condolence register has also been opened on the website of the program. More than 1100 messages have already been received on that register.
