First monkeypox virus cases in Switzerland and Israel, Norway also starts investigation into possible outbreak

The monkeypox virus has been diagnosed for the first time in Switzerland and Israel. It concerns someone in the Swiss canton of Bern and a 30-year-old man in Tel Aviv. Norwegian health authorities are also launching an investigation after a man from abroad who visited Oslo tested positive for the monkeypox virus when he returned home. Two new cases have been added in Berlin, the German health authorities have announced.
