First mobile phone-less Sunday in Heuvelland

If you want to get away from it all, you can visit Heuvelland. Hidden in the folds of the landscape, there are recently some places that are ideal for relaxing.

Tourism Heuvelland wants to consciously capitalize on these quirks. Together with about 8 lodgings, they commit themselves as silence ambassadors. These accommodations consciously choose the experience of silence. The owners recognize the importance of silence and are prepared to promote it on their website and at the reception. They offer their guests the necessary tips and information.

To highlight the start of this new initiative, Heuvelland Tourism is organizing the very first mobile-free Sunday. All visitors to Heuvelland are invited not to use their mobile phones for at least three hours: a digital detox so to speak. To this end, visitors put their mobile phones in a pre-printed envelope. If they bring it to the visitor center before 5 p.m. and the envelope is still closed, they will receive a small gift and take part in a competition for a voucher to spend on an overnight stay at one of Heuvelland’s silent lodgings.
