Where this morning it was still sunny and dry in most places in Noord-Holland, local showers can fall later in the day. From Wednesday the summer will really return, Weerman Jan Visser says NH Radio.

Today it will be around 19 to 20 degrees. The wind blows from the west and is moderate above the country. At the sea and around the IJsselmeer it can blow a bit harder.

Even wind force 6 is reached on Texel. “That has to do with the after effects of the Summer Storm Floris, which is now in Norway,” Visser explains. “In Scotland and Ireland it caused a lot of nuisance. Tens of thousands of people are there without electricity, due to the high wind speeds measured there yesterday.”

From tomorrow ‘pretty summery’

Tomorrow the changeable weather will come to an end. The influence of a high-pressure area then increases, according to the NH-Weerman. This ensures sunny periods and temperatures around 22 degrees.

From Thursday it stays sunny and the temperatures will continue. On Friday it will be about 24 degrees, and on Sunday and Monday the mercury even rises above 25 degrees. This makes a summer weekend approaching.
