At the Eind in Haaren, a fire broke out in a van due to smoldering wood residue in two large luxury barbecues that were on the bus. There were also blankets between the barbecues, which had caught fire. The fire was discovered by a firefighter from the local department, who lives in the street.
The firefighter immediately called in his colleagues. In the meantime, the van owner began emptying the vehicle and attempted to extinguish the fire with buckets of water.
The fire brigade took over the extinguishing work upon the owner’s arrival and quickly had the fire under control. Due to the quick discovery, the damage was limited, although the van did sustain some damage.
