A fire broke out on Sunday night in a student flat on the Professor Verbernelaan in Tilburg. The fire raged on the top floor. The fire brigade has cleared the entire building. Nobody was injured.
The fire broke out around half past one. The fire brigade scaled for a major fire. According to the Safety Region, this is necessary when there is a structural cooperation between different emergency services.
After an hour the fire was under control and all residents were brought to safety. The Safety Region says that the residents of the student flat are being temporarily taken care of in an adjacent building.
The cause of the fire is not yet clear. Local residents were advised to close windows and doors and turn off mechanical ventilation because of the smoke.
