Fire in historic Tivoli building in Oudenbosch

A fire raged at event location Tivoli in Oudenbosch on Wednesday afternoon. The fire in the monumental building on Jezuitenplein broke out around three o’clock during work on the roof.

A hotel, restaurant and a brasserie are located in the historic building in the center of Oudenbosch. The Observatory also has its home there, and migrant workers are currently staying there.

Building vacated
The fire brigade came with large equipment. The entire property has been evacuated. No one was injured, according to the Central and West Brabant Security Region.

The fire was brought under control fairly quickly, but firefighters and the municipality are still checking. There is smoke and soot damage, but the building does not appear to be damaged.
