Around 2 a.m. on Thursday night, the Berlin fire brigade was alerted to Schwalbenweg in the Treptow-Köpenicke district of Altglienicke.
You could see the flames coming out of the hallway window from afar. It was initially unclear whether it was an apartment.
Firefighters rescued a man, a woman and two children. It turned out that furniture and junk on the 9th floor were in flames.
Two apartments had to be forced open by the fire brigade with a ram. According to the first findings, there should not have been any injuries.
A specialist commissioner of the Berlin police is investigating, currently arson in the high-rise must be assumed.
