During a fire on the Herculesstraat in Rosmalen, several barns went up in flames on Monday night. It seems that asbestos has been released.

The fire was discovered around a quarter past one at night in a shed behind a house. The flames quickly put around, so that a car was damaged in addition to the other barns.

Asbestos in roof plates
The fire brigade used two extinguishing vehicles and a water car to get the fire under control. The fire was probably created in one of the burned -out barns. How this could happen is being investigated.

The suspected asbestos particles that were released during the fire spread in the area. The asbestos was probably in the roof plates of the sheds. The fire brigade has closed the area around the sheds. A specialized company will investigate whether it is actually asbestos and therefore clean it up. The particles were in, among other things, gardens of various houses on and around Herculesstraat.
