A house was seriously damaged in a fire on the Van Echtenskanaal in Zwartemeer this evening. The fire started around 5:45 p.m. and the fire brigade responded with several fire engines.
When the fire brigade arrived, a lot of smoke was already visible. The fire later spread and flames were visible from under the roof.
The residents were able to leave the house in time, but the fire brigade rescued four dogs from the building. No one was injured. It is not known how the fire started.
