A shed next to a house on Westerouwe in Meppel caught fire this evening. The fire broke out around 5:10 PM for an unknown reason.
The fire brigade quickly scaled it up to a medium fire. This was because there was a chance that the fire would spread to surrounding homes.
The fire was declared under control around 6 p.m. The damage was limited to the shed.
