A dog was rescued Friday evening from a house on Mierloseweg in Helmond, where a fire had broken out. The fire raged mainly in the living room and was out for a short time.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. According to a 112 correspondent, a burning candle is thought.
Oxygen
The fire was quickly brought under control, a fire service spokesman said. “The residents were taken care of by paramedics.”
The dog was given oxygen by the fire brigade and was then taken to a veterinarian as soon as possible by animal ambulance staff. The condition of the dog has not been released.
