Disappointing news came from Joel Kiviranta.

Lions World Champion Joel Kiviranta is injured, the man’s club Colorado Avalanche announced.

Kiviranta suffers from a lower body injury.

Colorado head coach Jared Bednar has told a group of journalists that the Finnish work mole would be on the sidelines for weeks.

Among other things, Bednar’s comments are reported by a journalist who closely follows the Avalanche Marc Moser.

Kiviranta has played in five Colorado matches this season. He hasn’t reached the power points yet.

For the 29-year-old Kiviranta, the setback is unfortunate. His contract expires this season, and the Finn has only signed short contracts in the NHL while looking for his place.

The reliable forward born in Vantaa scored his record 16+7=23 points in 79 games last season.

Joel Kiviranta has represented Colorado Avalanche and Dallas Stars in the NHL. PDO
