Eyüp Gözgeç, President of the Turkish Boxing Federation, invited President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to the World Women’s Boxing Championship in Istanbul, where 4 national boxers will play for the gold medal tomorrow.
Gözgeç made a statement to AA correspondent after the national boxer Ayşe Çağrıır won the gold medal in 48 kg at the championship hosted by Turkey by the International Boxing Association (IBA).
Stating that he was happy to win Turkey’s first gold medal in the championship held in Başakşehir Youth and Sports Facilities, Gözgeç said, “We have put a lot of effort into this work. We have given years to this work and now we are reaping its fruits. To our Honorable President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, our Minister Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu” “I would like to thank you very much. We have 4 more finals tomorrow. I invite our President through you to live this happy day together.” he said.
Explaining that the national team put a lot of effort, Eyüp Gözgeç said, “Our girls have worked hard. There has been 10 years of effort here. I congratulate them. This is just the beginning. Our target is the 2024 Paris Olympics. We are making all our preparations there.” used the phrases.
Emphasizing that they will complete the championship with 7 medals, Eyüp Gözgeç said, “We won 7 medals in this championship. Two of them were bronze. Today we won 1 gold medal. Tomorrow we will play 4 final matches. I hope they will be gold too. Our eliminated athletes played well. We are a young team. We are a young team. “Our three girls have just come out of the youth.
