Next week the sensor ‘Ship Emission Monitoring by Passive Remote Sensing’ (Sempas) will be finalized to the Belgian part of the North Sea. This innovative technology measures the quantity and type of emissions of passing ships and thus helps to guarantee air quality and public health in one of the busiest shipping routes in the world.
