A Ferrari to celebrate 100 years ofair Force. This was the idea of Matthew Cressonia driver with great experience in the GT and Endurance panorama, who has created a 488 Challenge Evo special, with the authorization of the same Air Force. The presentation of the car took place on the Cervesina (Pv) circuit in the presence of General of the Air Squad Francesco Abiti, Commander of the 1st Air Region.

dedication

The livery of this Ferrari is predominantly yellow and blue, interrupted on the sides by green, white and red, the three colors of the Italian flag. On the bonnet, on the other hand, the Air Force coat of arms stands out. Under this symbol there is also an inscription, “Ciao Alessio #5”. A special dedication made by Cressoni himself to the pilot of the National Aerobatic Team Alessio Ghersi, who recently died in a plane crash.

features

The Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo boasts a 3.9-litre V8 turbo engine with a maximum power output of 670 HP. The major work done in Maranello on this model, presented at the end of 2019, was focused on aerodynamics. The result is a 30% increase in aerodynamic efficiency compared to the “classic” 488 Challenge to enhance driving pleasure and performance stability at the highest levels. Furthermore, the aerodynamic balance coordinates with the E-Diff3 and F1-TCS control systems based on Side Slip Control (SSC) and capable of offering new dedicated calibrations.
