The Starting point is a 1925 photograph: the silent star Lola Todd in Leopardato. From that image a dialogue is born that crosses cultures and continents. “I was interested in understanding how certain materials, prints and fabrics were imported to America and Europe by Africa and the Caribbean, becoming a symbol of status,” explained the Creative director Maximilian Davis.
