Ferdinand Omanyala ran a terrible time – Doubts arose

Ferdinand Omanyala’s best result of the season won’t stand.

Ferdinand Omanyala won the race organized in Kenya with the best time. PDO

Kenyan sprinter Ferdinand Omanya at the end of February in his home country, he set a great time in the 100 meters.

27-year-old Omanyala stopped the clocks with a time of 9.81, which for a while was considered the top result in the world this season.

However, the time has now been erased from the International Association of Athletics Federations WA statistics.

Kenyan Capital FM radio channel according to the reason is that WA suspects that the anemometers at the Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi have failed.

The anemometers claimed that Omanyala ran against the headwind of his top time, which was blowing as much as 4.8 meters per second. This seemed so unlikely that the time was canceled altogether.

Even a couple of meters of headwind easily eats several tenths off the 100 meter times – not to mention the reading of 4.8 m/s.

However, WA’s decision did not discourage Omanyala, who confidently says that she is aiming for the 100m world record.

– The season has just started and the most important thing for me now is that I’m in top shape. I believe God is telling me that the world record is just around the corner. I can smell it already. Sooner or later I will break it, Omanyala threatens, according to Capital FM.

The Kenyan holds the African record of 9.77. Usain Bolt’s ME is 9.58.
