Fenerbahçe Opet defeated Galatasaray Çağdaş Faktoring 75-70 in the 18th week match of Halkbank Women’s Basketball Super League. In the first period of the match between Fenerbahçe Opet and Galatasaray Çağdaş Faktoring, both teams showed an effective performance in external shots. At the end of the first 10 minutes, where three-point baskets were exchanged, both teams followed each other. Galatasaray Çağdaş Faktoring finished this period ahead 25-23.
Although Galatasaray Çağdaş Faktoring started the second period under pressure and took control of the game, Fenerbahçe Opet found its rhythm with the player changes it made. The yellow-dark blue team closed the gap with their series in the last part of the period and went to the locker room with a 37-36 advantage. Although Fenerbahçe Beko tried to increase the tempo and widen the gap in the third quarter, Galatasaray did not break away from the game and managed to come from behind and keep the score balanced. In the last period, Fenerbahçe played a dominant game in attack and also took precautions in defence. Galatasaray was ineffective in defense in this section and was defeated with a score of 70-75.
