The Senior Turkish Cup Rowing Races, held on the still water course on Seyhan Dam Lake, were held at Çukurova University (CU) Boathouse Facilities between 27-29 March. Nearly 300 athletes from 21 clubs participated in the organization. In the seniors (women/men) and U23 categories; Races were held in single sculls, two sculls, two singles, four sculls and eight singles classes. In the para rowing category, 7 male and 6 female athletes competed. While the last race took place under heavy rain, some athletes could not hold back their tears after the race.
FENERBAHÇE MADE ITS MARK
In the competition, Fenerbahçe Sports Club came first in the senior men’s category with 888 points, Galatasaray Sports Club came second with 516 points, and TED Edirne College Sports Club came third with 410 points. In women, Fenerbahçe Sports Club came first with 500 points, Galatasaray Sports Club took second place with 238 points, and Adana Sailing Specialization and Water Sports Club took third place with 70 points. After the races were completed, Adana Governor Mustafa Yavuz, AK Party Adana Deputy Sunay Karamık and Youth and Sports Provincial Director Mustafa Loğoğlu presented their awards to the winning athletes.

Speaking after the award ceremony, Governor Mustafa Yavuz stated that they were very happy to host the athletes in the city. Yavuz said, “We see that Seyhan Dam Lake has one of the most suitable courses in Türkiye for rowing and sailing races. Our athletes demonstrated this for 3 days. We hosted approximately 300 athletes from all over our country in our city. The athletes experienced an enjoyable, entertaining and gentlemanly racing environment here. From now on, we aim to host teams in different branches and host various competitions in Adana. Adana welcomes everyone with its people, climate and geography. “It is an open city. We are happy to host both our athletes and visitors under any circumstances. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the event.”
