Fenerbahçe Alagöz Holding Women’s Basketball Team defeated the Spanish representative Casademont Zaragoza 71-65 in the 10th week match of EuroLeague Group A. The yellow-dark blue team achieved their 9th victory in the organization and maintained their place at the top.
Fenerbahçe Club Women’s Basketball Team Board Member Kemal Danabaş and Fenerbahçe Petrol Ofisi Women’s Football Team also watched the match played at Metro Enerji Hall.
On the other hand, in the absence of head coach Valerie Garnier, who was in France due to the death of her father, assistant coach Camille Aubert managed the team against Zaragoza.
The yellow-dark blue team started the match with Sevgi Uzun, Yvonne Anderson, Kayla McBride, Natasha Howard and Emme Meesseman.
Fenerbahçe finished the first quarter ahead 28-14 with the scoring game of Kayla McBride and Alperi. While McBride continued his scoring game in the second quarter, Fenerbahçe went to the locker room with a 44-30 advantage. The yellow-dark blue team finished the third quarter ahead 58-47, in which Emme Meesseman was effective, and did not allow their opponent to come back in the fourth quarter and won the match 71-65.
