A visitor to the Efteling saw on Friday that a man with a knife was walking around in the amusement park. The English woman made the discovery when she stood in line with the man at an attraction. She did not hesitate for a moment and appealed to an Efteling employee. The woman reports this on X.
De Efteling confirms the incident on Sunday. “The man in question had no further bad intentions,” says a spokeswoman. “The moment we appealed to him, he handed in the knife without problems. When he went home at the end of the day, he picked up the knife again.”
According to the spokeswoman, it hardly happens that people with a weapon in their pocket enter the amusement park. “That is of course not the intention,” she adds.
