Titled as “Manuel, I’m telling you straight”, Eduardo Feinmann released an open letter that was published by the Infobae portal referring to the scandals of the Chief of Staff, Manuel Adorni. The journalist stressed: “Today you stopped adding and started subtracting. In politics, that point is terminal. Each appearance adds noise. Each word opens a front. And the one who pays the cost is the President, Javier Milei. It is not ideology. It is management.”

Next, the communicator made clear his position regarding the official’s position among the various questions regarding his assets in the letter presented. “When the spokesperson becomes news, something broke. And when that happens, the problem stops being personal: the impact is direct to the heart of the Government. Loyalty is not declaiming. It is being effective. And today, that effectiveness is in doubt. Therefore, if you really want to help, do what few do in public office: leave on time. Leaving is not losing. Staying, today, is insisting on the error. Leaving, now, is correcting it. The President needs air. Not noise. It’s not asking you to resign. It’s helping you think,” he stressed.

For weeks now, the Chief of Staff of the Nation has been at the center of a growing judicial and political controversy due to alleged inconsistencies in his sworn statements and an increase in assets that Justice classifies as suspicious. The investigations, which are advancing in the Comodoro Py courts under the supervision of the judge Ariel Lijo and prosecutor Gerardo Pollicitafocus on the acquisition of real estate, expenses on trips abroad and a series of private debts that the official has not been able to completely clarify before public opinion.

One of the most critical points of the investigation is the purchase of an apartment in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Caballito, deeded in November 2025 for a value of US$230,000. What caught the attention of the investigators is that the operation was 90% financed through loans granted by individuals, including two retired women linked to security forces, whose financial capabilities to grant such credits are being analyzed. Added to this property is a property in country Indian Cuá, in Exaltation of the Cross, where a contractor declared in court that he had received US$245,000 in cash for luxury renovationsincluding artificial waterfalls and marble finishes. This figure would triple the declared tax value of the original home and would not coincide with the official’s income flow in pesos.

Manuel Adorni

The opposition, led by deputies such as Esteban Paulon and legislators who promoted the interpellation of the official in Congress, question what they call a “systematic omission” of assets in their presentations to the Anti-Corruption Office. According to cited records, Adorni has frequently hidden behind “reserved annexes” to avoid giving details about the properties in his spouse’s name or about the origin of funds for his family trips. While his declared assets at the end of 2024 were around $107.9 million, his reported debts exceeded US$725,000, a gap that the prosecutor’s office is investigating as possible illicit enrichment and falsification of public documents.

Faced with these accusations, Adorni has maintained a defensive stance, describing the complaints as “political operettas” and “media carnage.” In his press conferences and legislative presentations, the Chief of Staff assured that all his assets are duly declared and that the expenses were met with his own genuine resources.

However, the persistence of doubts about properties not included in his 2024 public declarations and the recent listing of an apartment in La Plata – originally declared as a donation – have intensified scrutiny over his asset evolution, which would have experienced a growth of more than 500% since his entry into public service.
