Aznar asks the leader of the Popular Party to eliminate the “indecent footprint” of the “heirs of terror”

The president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has promised this Saturday at his party’s tribute in Ermua to Miguel Ángel Blanco to repeal the “misnamed” Democratic Memory Law.

“On behalf of the majority of Basques and Spaniards, I hereby commit to Ermua to repeal the Law of Democratic Memory, not only with the votes of the PP and other groups, but also with those of the next Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party to, together, restore memory and justice”, Feijóo has proclaimed.

The popular leader has argued that if the ETA terrorists “did not manage to divide us, we cannot allow their heirs to do so.”

Aznar asks to erase the “indecent footprint”

The former Prime Minister José María Aznar has asked the leader of the Popular Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, that the “indecent footprint” of the “heirs of terror”, in reference to EH Bildu, be erased from the Democratic Memory Law when the PP reach the government.

“Not a single comma of these murderers will ever be acceptable in any memory project, and that is why I want to ask everyone, especially Alberto Núñez Feijóo, the next Prime Minister, that we project this commitment into the future and that the indecent fingerprint of the heirs of terror will be erased and that the PP will work for that to happen sooner rather than later”, Aznar stated.

The former president has intervened this Saturday in the closing of the Summer school Miguel Ángel Blanco of New Generations, together with Núñez Feijóo and Marimar Whitesister of the councilor kidnapped and murdered by ETA.
