The joint trade union front at the railways confirms that the 24-hour strike – from Tuesday 4 October at 10 pm – will continue. The letter sent by Prime Minister Alexander De Croo and Mobility Minister Georges Gilkinet in response to their concerns is not sufficient. The answer “does not contain any budgetary guarantees and is limited to a declaration of intent,” the unions say in a press release. “That commitment is not enough.”
