Alexander Zverev suffered a bitter defeat on his return to the scene of his greatest triumph. Qualifying for the season finale in Turin will be a close race.

When he returned to the site of his Olympic victory, the Hamburg resident experienced one of the bitterest hours after his comeback at the beginning of the year.
