FC Volendam’s opening goal after eight minutes was a special one. This one was made by Bilal Ould-Chikh at the suggestion of his brother Walid Ould-Chikh. It marked the first ‘family goal’ in Dutch professional football in seven years.
Jong AZ fought its way back to 1-1 after fifteen minutes via Mohamed Taabouni. Immediately after the break, Volendam took the lead again thanks to Damon Mirami. This time, the leader of the Kitchen Champion Division did not give up the lead.

Where there were no goals in Flevoland at last in Almere City against FC Emmen, it was different in Rotterdam. There Excelsior wiped the floor with Jong Ajax. The team from Amsterdam took the lead early through Christian Rasmussen, but via two goals from Thijs Dallinga and two own goals it became 6-2. Naci Ünüvar missed another penalty.
The match in The Hague was also spectacular. There, MVV stunted with a nice 2-3 win over ADO Den Haag. The absolute standout was Toshio Lake. The basic debutant provided the assist for the 0-1 and was then accurate twice himself.
In the ranking, Volendam now has seven points ahead of Emmen, which does have a match due. Ajax follows on ten points, ADO on eleven.
