FC Volendam criticizes FC Twente’s conduct and sweeps the first bid for Eiting off the table

FC Volendam is displeased with FC Twente’s conduct regarding a possible transfer of captain Carel Eiting. According to technical director Jasper van Leeuwen of FC Volendam, an initial offer of 400,000 euros has also been decisively swept off the table.

“It is true that we have received a wonderful and unacceptable offer from FC Twente for Carel,” says Van Leeuwen in conversation with The Telegraph. “That wonderful and unacceptable also applies to the course of action.”

Without permission

Last night it came out that FC Twente had made an offer for the 25-year-old midfielder. FC Volendam thinks the offer of 400,000 euros is much too low and demands six or seven times this amount. In addition, Van Leeuwen finds it inappropriate that FC Twente has contacted and negotiated with Eiting without any communication and permission. This course of action is against FIFA regulations.

Eiting played 35 matches for FC Volendam last year and scored three times. In addition, the captain gave eleven assists. Last Saturday was Eiting still basic player in the 2-1 lost exhibition match against KAA Gent.
