FC Volendam closes a deal with Udinese for the second time and rents a Portuguese youth international

FC Volendam has concluded a deal with Udinese for the second time in one week. The New Orange rents Vivaldo Semedo until the end of the season. Last week, Alex Guessand was also hired from the Italian club.

Semedo is an 18-year-old striker who is a youth international for Portugal. The tall attacker made his debut in Serie A with Udinese last season. In total he played six matches in the Italian league. Udinese took over Semedo for several million from Sporting CP in 2022, where he received his youth training.

“Vivaldo is a physically strong striker who can work well as a point of contact in multiple systems,” says FC Volendam director Frans ten Berge on the website. “With his runs and speed, he provides depth and danger. Despite his young age, he has tasted the highest Italian football level. We are happy that Vivaldo can help us in our fight to maintain our position in the Eredivisie and we can contribute to the next step in its development.”

After the draw against Heracles Almelo (1-1), FC Volendam is in seventeenth place in the Premier League. Next Sunday at 4.45 pm the meeting with Fortuna Sittard awaits,
