Volendam came back to the lead in the 56th minute by a goal from Brandley Kuwas. He scored from an assist from Robin van Cruijsen. PEC Zwolle received a penalty kick in the 64th minute on the instructions of the linesman, but that decision was reversed after the VAR intervention. PEC Zwolle player Tristan Gooijer then got yellow for a joke.
