FC Ingolstadt has extended the contract with one of its best preparers. As the third division team reported on Tuesday, Marcel Costly has been tied to the Schanzer on a “long-term” basis. The club did not say exactly for how long, his contract previously ran until 2025. The 28-year-old right-back has been with the FCI since 2022, since then he has contributed five goals and 16 assists in 60 games, including six this season, which is internal to the club only Pascal Testroet surpasses it.

“Marcel Costly has impressively demonstrated in recent years that he is one of the best players in his position in the third division. Cello’s offensive drive – coupled with his outstanding athleticism and technical expertise – make him a crucial pillar for our team. We are overjoyed that he will continue to be part of our Schanzer path in the future,” said sports director Ivo Grlic.
