FC Groningen is not yet rid of Frank Wormuth, fired trainer demands more money

FC Groningen is not yet rid of Frank Wormuth.

The coach, fired on November 14, has filed an arbitration case against his former employer. According to the 62-year-old German and his management, the severance payment he received was not calculated correctly.

The club takes the position that Wormuth has received what he was entitled to. When the employment contract was entered into, agreements were made immediately about the amount of the compensation, should the marriage end prematurely. Wormuth signed a three-year contract in June 2022. Technical director Mark-Jan Fledderus later called the appointment of the German ‘a major error of judgment’. The parties broke up arguing. The case will be heard in Zeist on February 23.
