FC Eindhoven continues to win, Helmond Sport equal against ten Telstar

FC Eindhoven won 1-2 on Friday evening at TOP Oss. It is the fifth victory in a row for the team of trainer Rob Penders. Helmond Sport played for an hour against ten men from Telstar, but had to settle for a point.

TOP Oss FC Eindhoven 1-2
Due to corona, FC Eindhoven trainer Rob Penders had to miss a number of players during the duel with TOP Oss. For example, Joey Sleegers and Jort van der Sande were missing, together good for 22 goals. Still, the team that started round 26 as number five of the Kitchen Champion Division quickly scored. Within fifteen minutes Mawouna Amevor headed the ball hard against the ropes. The captain did that from a fine corner by Barnabás Rácz.

TOP Oss did not have to do without the club’s top scorer. Kay Tejan has been impressing all season in the red and white of the team of coach Bob Peeters. That was no different in the duel with the provincial colleague. Shortly after a disturbance and the moment the home team started to fight more physically, the striker took care of the equalizer with a striking bicycle kick.

It then seemed for a long time that it would remain a draw. Until Jasper Dahlhaus suddenly came face to face with TOP Oss goalkeeper Norbert Alblas. The winger did not fail and pushed the ball into the goal: 1-2. Shortly before time, Alblas still had an answer to Charles-Andreas Brym’s penalty kick. He stopped the bet, but it was nothing more than a personal success for the goalie. It stayed 1-2. As a result, FC Eindhoven, which saw competitors spill points, can cautiously dream of more than a fifth place. TOP Oss drops one place in the ranking and is now thirteenth.

Helmond Sport Telstar 2-2
A match full of spectacle! Helmond Sport was already behind after just over fifteen minutes. Rein Smit brought Telstar to 0-1 with a scorer. Fifteen minutes later the broken through Aaron Bastiaans was pulled down. Roman Tugarinov had to leave with a red card, it was the starting signal for a Helmonds offensive.

Shortly before half time, Jellert van Landschoot was close to the equalizer, but his swipe from the edge of the penalty area exploded on the crossbar. A minute later, Arno van Keilegom was accurate with a shot from distance: 1-1.

After the break, Telstar’s ten took the lead again, completely against the ratio. Sven van Doorm caused frustration for the home team with his goal. That didn’t last long, because pretty soon Jelle Goselink Helmond Sport was able to shoot next to Telstar again: 2-2. The team did not get further than that equalizer in the SolarUnie Stadium, so it had to settle for a point.
