Hanover’s Ondoua nominated

FC Bayern’s Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting (33) is in Cameroon’s 26-man squad for the World Cup in Qatar. Coach and ex-international Rigobert Song has announced his squad for the finals, which feature Group G against Switzerland, Serbia and Brazil. The most valuable professional in the selection is Frank Anguissa (26) from SSC Napoli with a market value of 30 million euros.

Choupo-Moting is now traveling to Qatar with a record of ten goals and three assists from 15 games for the German record champions. The native of Hamburg was revalued for the first time since 2018 in the latest market value update of the Bundesliga and made a jump from 3 to 6 million euros. In addition to Choupo-Moting, Gaël Ondoua (27) is another professional from Germany in the squad. The Hannover 96 midfielder, who has only made two brief appearances this season due to injury, made his national team debut in March and has four appearances for Cameroon.
